Studying historical materials on the existing quarter, we understand that the style of the architectural solution gravitates towards the main building of the Menshikov House. This is a classic from the late 18th century. In 1925, a large four-story building was built in front of the main house, which changed the urban composition. Since then, the compositional role of our building has changed. It should be considered in the context of Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street, as a corner building at the intersection with Gazetny Lane. It is also known that on the site of our building there were trading shops, of environmental architecture, but with large stained-glass windows of trading rooms on the first floors. As a result of the analysis of the historical situation, we consider it possible to allow ourselves some liberties in the architectural decoration of the building. Therefore, we present several stylistic options for decor.
  At the heart of the alteration of existing facades is the breaking of window openings in the bearing concrete wall. As well as the laying of roof windows, and punching new ones on the top floor. The options also differ in the shape of the plan on the corner of the building. In one case it is trapezoidal, and in the other it is round. The applied materials for facing are marble, fiber-reinforced concrete, plaster.
  A necessary part of the architecture of the wall is the presence of a cornice. Therefore, we artificially build up the eaves without changing the configuration of the roof.
